Dörte Kraft's paintings have no beginning and no end.
A form floating deliberately out of brightly colored prisms into an uncertain darkness.
All appears essentially in the optical flicker of a sparkling, radiant resplendence.
And from this shimmering pool of abstract expanses brimming with spirals, circles, waves and lines; objectively representational forms suddenly emerge.
...force fields, hidden from the level of the naked eye, (made visible)...
The appearance conveyed is one of a continual rotation around a central point, a circle interrupted - sometimes more abruptly, at other times less so.
